NATASHA BRINE

SPECIALIST TEACHER
QUALIFIED TEACHER STATUS
(QTS)

I am a dedicated Specialist Teacher with nearly 20 years’ experience in education, having qualified as a Primary Teacher in 2006. Throughout my career, I have taught across all primary year groups and worked closely with secondary-aged students, giving me a deep understanding of children and young people at every stage of their educational journey.

I have first-hand experience of the challenges faced by both pupils and teachers within the classroom. I understand how difficult it can be to meet individual needs within a busy mainstream setting, and I am passionate about helping children feel understood, supported, and empowered. I have created safe, nurturing classroom environments with dedicated regulation spaces, and I have provided alternative provision for children who have struggled to access the mainstream curriculum.

My work has recently centred on supporting children and young people with neurodivergence. This includes helping them develop an understanding of their own neurodivergence and supporting them to make sense of both their diagnosis and themselves. With this, they are able to recognise their strengths and build strategies to support their emotional regulation, confidence, and learning.

I founded Youniq to support families and children as they navigate the often complex and emotional process of receiving and understanding a neurodivergence diagnosis. My approach is compassionate, practical, and child-centred, combining professional expertise with genuine care. As a mother of three, I also bring a personal perspective, understanding the realities faced by families both at home and in school.

At Youniq, my aim is to help every child feel valued for who they are, supported in their challenges, and confident in their unique strengths.
