SCHOOL OBSERVATION
This service provides a visit to your child's school or educational setting. During the visit, I'll observe your child and meet with the school's SENCo or Inclusion Manager to discuss their needs.
Youniq aims to help your child's school gain a thorough understanding of your child's individual profile and what their neurodivergence means in a classroom context.
This is designed to be a collaborative, reassuring experience. You'll receive a written summary of the observation and consultation, which can be shared with the school. This information can be valuable for families and staff alike, and may also serve as supporting evidence if applying for an Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP).
BESPOKE POST-DIAGNOSTIC AND SPECIALIST SUPPORT
After diagnosis, many children and young people gain a clearer understanding of their own strengths and needs.
I offer post diagnostic and specialist support to help navigate school, home, and social situations with greater confidence and emotional wellbeing. My work includes developing social understanding, building positive peer relationships, and support in recognising and managing anxiety.
I help families and schools identify what might trigger challenging or unexpected behaviours, using practical tools and gentle guidance to create meaningful change. I also provide advice on adapting environments to reduce sensory overload and create spaces where children can feel calm, regulated, and ready to learn.
Support is available during key transitions, such as moving schools or changing classes, to reduce stress and help maintain a sense of stability. I work collaboratively with families, schools, and other professionals to ensure a coordinated approach that keeps your young person's needs at the heart of everything.
Whether through direct sessions, consultation, or working alongside other agencies, my aim is to empower children and young people to understand themselves, feel truly supported, and thrive.
